Have you ever experienced this?

Have you ever experienced this?

You’re in a season of change. Something happens—an experience you feel like you need to share. Maybe you want advice or just need to vent. You grab your phone, thinking, “I’ll send a quick text… maybe even make a call.”

You consider reaching out to that one person you always turn to, or maybe a list of trusted friends and family. But then you stop.

Why?

Because your recent experience doesn’t really fit with the people in your circle. Your life is on a different path from theirs now. It’s not good or bad—it’s just different. Every life is unique, after all.

So what do you do next?

I don’t know if women handle this better (I suspect they do), but men? We often do… nothing. It’s just one more thing we bottle up and never talk about.

A Personal Story

Recently, I decided to do something different. I turned to my local neighborhood’s Facebook page and put myself out there. I asked if other dads in the area felt like they could benefit from a stronger network—a group where we could navigate this unique season of life together.

Here’s what I hoped to find:
• Answers to questions like, “When should I be looking into schools?”
• Connections for our kids—similar ages, similar interests.
• A safe place for us toddler dads to ask, “What the %$#& is my kid doing, and how do I make it stop?”
• And, let’s be real: Who wants to grab a beer?

What I found was an overwhelming response. Turns out, so many dads feel the same way I do. We’re now organizing, hoping to build a real resource—a place for connection, advice, and support.

Why I’m Sharing This
1. If you’re in a transitional season of life, put yourself out there. It’s so easy to bunker down and isolate, but trust me—it never helps. Building new connections will help you grow and thrive.
2. If you’re a dad looking for a stronger network, let’s connect. I don’t have it all figured out (spoiler: I don’t think that’s the end goal anyway). But with some help, I’m determined to one day outwit a 3-year-old. It might take years—but hey, it’s worth a shot.

Oh, and I’d be a bad realtor if I didn’t point this out: These seasons of change often lead to big moves. If you’re planning one this year, let’s talk about your goals and create a roadmap to success.

Cheers,
