    Home Sale Calculator FAQs

What are net proceeds when you sell a home?

Net proceeds are what you take home after the sale closes. Start with your sale price, then subtract your mortgage payoff, commission, transfer taxes or conveyance fees, closing costs, and any repairs or credits you give the buyer.

How much is the transfer tax when selling in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky?

In Hamilton County, Ohio, sellers pay a conveyance fee of $3 per $1,000 of the sale price, plus $0.50 per parcel. In Kentucky, sellers pay a state transfer tax of $0.50 for every $500 of value. Other Ohio counties set their own rates, so your total may differ outside Hamilton County.

How accurate is this home sale calculator?

It gives you a solid starting point, but your final number depends on your exact payoff, prorated taxes, and the terms you negotiate. For a number you can plan around, book a seller strategy session and we'll build it with you.
