Here’s my advice: The sooner you can get prepared, the better off you’ll be.
Because the home that checks all your boxes—whether that’s an open floorplan, wood floors, finished basement—could get listed next week or next month…and you don’t want to miss your chance.
That’s why I always encourage my buyers to do three simple things now:
- Talk to a lender and get pre-approved—it helps you understand what you can truly afford.
- Narrow your search criteria—so you recognize “the one” when you see it.
- Stay close to the market—homes can list midweek and sell before the weekend (it does happen).
Preparation gives you options—and peace of mind.
